Japanese but Global by Football Tribe Japan

Image
by Daisuke Kikuchi, Deputy Editor of Football Tribe Japan  What started as a small tree has grown much in that time. I want to write about how the Japanese edition has grown, and how we will grow even more, thanks to the advantages we have in an international network. The merits of an international network Thanks to prompt information-sharing and a large pool of staff throughout the whole network, we have managed to convert high-quality information into our contnet. Most importantly, this international network has given us two things: cooperation and competition.  By sharing and listening to opinions about football from various perspectives, not only in terms of news but also regarding graphics and other multimedia, we often make new discoveries. But while we work together as one Tribe, we also compete. And through this competition, we always strive to improve. The other editions at Football Tribe are like siblings: family members who are also rivals. ...

The Journey Chanathip by Football Tribe Thailand

Image
by Jedsada Chanapinijwong, the deputy editor of Football Tribe Thailand  Hi,  Tribe!   Let me introduce myself. My name is Jedsada Chanapinijwong - quite long for foreigners but normal in my country, Thailand. You can call me Jed only.  I’m working for Football Tribe Thailand as a deputy editor.  For the past one year, one of the biggest topics in Thai football  was that  we have the first Thai player in J league, one of the best  leagues in Asia. This is a good change for Thai football as well as Football Tribe Thailand. And all of a sudden, I realised that I was standing at Chitose Airport to wait for Chanatip to land in Hokkaido to start his new journey in his career, which was my first time in Thailand as well.  "Thai Messi" received a very warm welcome by Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo fans and media; myself as well, as Davide, our financial manager who is based in Hokkaido, welcomed me for my mission to follow ...

Daily life in Italy by Davide Ucchedu

Image
by Davide Ucchedu, Financial Manager of Football Tribe  Hi Tribe.  This is my first post so I want to introduce myself a little. I`m Davide, Football Tribe's Financial Manager.  I'm Italian but live in Japan, where Football Tribe's headquarters are based. Japan is a fantastic country which is well-organized and easy to live in. There is only one thing I feel nostalgic for, though, and that is Italian football culture. Since the J.League was introduced, the number of Japanese football fans has increased incredibly. I know plenty of people who like football and go to stadiums every week. Japanese supporters love their teams from deep in their heart.  But in Italy, it's is different: football is a part of everybody’s life.  We wake up in the morning, drink a good espresso in a cafeteria and we talk about... football.  We go to school or work on Monday after the weekend, and the first topic is... football.  We go home, we have lunch ...

Office, Sweet Office by Football Tribe Indonesia

Image
by Mochamad Aby, Chief Editor of Football Tribe Indonesia  Opening an office in Jakarta is one of the most monumental moments in 2017 for Football Tribe Indonesia. The office has brought us one step closer to be a professional and legitimate media in Indonesia. It also sets a mark and foundation for Football Tribe Indonesia to start competing in the world of football media across Indonesia.   However, the process that we have been through to build the office from scratch isn’t easy. It was a long journey, which needs a lot of consideration, patience, and time.  At first, I wasn’t really sure if we needed an office, and I honestly didn’t think about it too much. We’ve successfully passed our first month by exceeding the initial expectations, but strangely the doubts suddenly filled my head and I started to think beyond. How can we get better than this? After thinking about it for a couple of days, I concluded that we did need an office. It might sound...

Visualizing an Identity: the Story behind Football Tribe's Name, Logo, Colour and Slogan.

Image
by Cesare Polenghi, CEO of Football Tribe  When I was younger, so much younger than today, I played in several rock groups. One of the most exhilarating moments in forming a new band was deciding on the name.  I imagine that process too has become way more complicated now, as it involves Google searches and finding an available URL.  Back in the day, such brainstorming sessions used took place at a pub and involved several litres of alcohol. A lot of idiotic names were thrown around and discarded in a matter of seconds, there was the occasional brawl, and finally a clear and distinct feeling of panic upon realizing that the first gig was less than a week away, there were posters to prepare, and the band had no name as of yet.  Such memories surfaced in January of 2017, when I found myself with only a few days to pick a name, logo, font and slogan for my new project, the one that has become Football Tribe.  With limited time available, after readi...
